  1. Aye, now I get it. We can only hope the next CBA resolves most of this junk. I wont hold my breath. Given the past issues with CBAs, players, agents and owners.
  2. Tony, Surprised Weams hasnt chimed in. Dont think Ryan is one of their super 2 worries, they dont even mention him.
  3. Never had the slightest issue with VRBO before, so we shall see in 2 months. Coldwell Banker in Ocean City isnt playing well with us, but, they havent won yet.
  4. I remember Brady would cause concern from management, when they learned he liked to skitch on his skateboard to home games. The one story I like is one that Buck talked about. He said they were in spring training, and Buck briefly mentioned a concern he had with the playing conditions at an away site. He learned later, that Brady jumped in his car, and drove two hours, and had the issued resolved. It was his proactive attitude to get things done, that others appreciated.
  5. glad you made out well, others are not so fortunate. try doing that with a house rental with VRBO. BTW, you also failed to mention the airline. My airline wont refund my first class tickets, but will to give me a voucher to fly later with them.
  6. No, but the Yankee fans do not like other new yorkers that like the mets. I also found this
  7. Just join the long list of businesses not returning movie to consumers, airplane ticket, vacation rentals, concert tickets, etc.
  8. I wish I could find it. Weams used to pop up a URL every so often and it would have all that useful contract status data. @weams
  9. Good point. and the Marlins, aren't the across town rivals in the same city.
  10. https://sports.yahoo.com/alex-rodriguez-jennifer-lopez-mets-sale-wilpons-steve-cohen-003312126.html Sure that sits well with the Pinstripe alumni.
  11. My thoughts and prayers with you. Im well aware about looking bleak. Lucky for me, the doctor tried the hydroxchloroquine and z-pack combo and that really turned things around for me.
  12. Dr Phil and Dr Oz are just two of the clowns that Oprah created, and there was another Dr, the one that wasnt a licensed surgeon, yet was doing cosmetic surgery and a patient died. Rule is, if Oprah is behind you, then you must be a joke too.
  13. Appreciate, glad to be alive, thats for sure. A true blessing. Cant wait to get real baseball started again.
  14. They also had a bench clearing brawl of MLB caliber this weekend. Pitcher hit the dude in the arse, and it was game on and bench clearing for both sides. I wonder how fighting fits into the guidelines of social distancing.
  15. Why people believe Dr Phil, who might be very good in his field of expertise, but that doesnt make him a health expert. Dr Oz is another one. While he might be a real MD, what he was saying wasnt in alignment with people like Dr. Fauci.
  16. The vast bodies do not do this. Your advice would work well in the political arena too. But too many people believe fake news and crappy reporting. CNN for example, just to name 2 off the top of my head. 1. Showed New York city and bodies in body bags on gurneys in the hallway. Come to find out, the picture was actually taken from a Italy hospital. 2. They showed people shopping unmasked and going into a grocery somewhere in the south. Come to find out, it was an old previously run video of shoppers and a hurricane from a couple of years ago.
  17. I get that too. Jeter dropped a few spots, because of his known love to play for the Yankees, and others were afraid to not be able to sign him. I only mentioned the 5 tool part for Hammond, because the hype then, was he was going to be a HOF outfielder for the team, and had all the tools.
  18. No, the media has been playing sound bytes with him and his ideas.
  19. Not sure how a computer programer/engineer/salesman has become the worlds SME for medical vaccinations.
  20. He has my vote for most hyped. He was drafted ahead of Derek Jeter. Was supposed to be a real 5 tool player. When healthy he was fun to watch. Had a decent career, but nothing compared to what we had hoped.
  21. Strange things happen in the playoffs. Pearce is a nice guy and a decent body to have had on the 25 man roster. I doubt anybody expected him to be hot during the WS and end up with MVP. Much like Dempsey did back in 83. Reynolds was better at 1B, than 3B, where he had a brick for a glove and 2 left hands.
  22. It was, thought I was one foot in the grave, but wasnt my time. Feel almost 100%
