It is for me. I would prefer to have my catcher and SS have plus defender skills and weak bat, then plus bat, and weak with the glove.
Of course, Ideally having both is fab and hard to come by.
There is also a huge mental aspect here.
If he can manage past that, maybe there is a small glimmer of hope.
I am not in denial, I get there are some very long odds here, of anything of at least replacement level play.
I take a small glimmer of hope, that a jacked Davis gets back to hitting some.
I take more hope that he admits, his play has been bad, and he said he would retire if it continued.
So we shall see.
One is too many, and now this is at least #2 that Ive seen.
Disgraceful

Just further proof that Elias appears to be the real deal, and not just wanting bandaids to patch things for now and worry about the future later.
It appears to be a systemic approach to fixing all aspects of the organization and building an organization tooled for the long run game.
No, its been done on the occasion, but most managers dont like to, unless they are desperate, and I seam to recall a pitcher or two hurt while pinch running.
It truly does. I hate the guys that feel entitled to a roster spot and show up late as they feel like its owned them.
A side question and nothing to do with Iglesias, I image as soon as a player reports to camp, the team will house them and feed them (per diem)????? I image non-roster invitees are not subject to the same benefits.
You are correct, IMO, double switch sure.
I dont see him as a 2 way player.
But, thats just my opinion.
I stand corrected about Givens drafted as pitcher was planned.
I thought he was moved to pitcher as his skillset for position player and bat, wasnt going to play out at the major league level?
I believe if my memory is correct, they scouted him and drafted him with the intention of making him a pitcher from the get go.
Sorry, IMO, most DHs are players that can hit, but not play a position.
I trust dont see it.
his OPS of .697 is going to set the world on fire, either.
Agree to disagree here.
It beats reading on TMZ, that he beat the stuffing out of his wife while drunk and partying too much.
I see people just like to find fault, its getting worse.
