  1. Whenever we have a game with these guys (+ McCann) one of them always has a big game.
  2. That sequence was kind of hilarious, because it jumped from the HR to a shot of Fried laying in foul territory. For a second I'm like, did he slip and fall after giving up that HR???
  3. Yea, I think if we are getting 2 guys most likely one of them needs to be a straight rental like Scott. We'd use up a lot of trade chips to get 2 bullpen arms (good ones) that are under contract for multiple years.
  4. It's really bizarre how Olson and Riley (and really every ATL hitter but Ozuna) fell off a cliff this year.
  5. If we target an outfielder we are basically saying one (if not both) of Hays and Mullins are cooked. I'm not sure what the corresponding move would be, but it'd be an interested development in the transition from the old heads to the new guys.
  6. Jose Siri will pimp the F out of a big hit, and then strike out almost every other at bat and complain about the calls.
  7. McCann always come through in weird but very clutch moments.
  8. That's what a good GM does. McDermott, Seth Johnson, Cano, Povich all came from those trades from guys that seemingly expired the moment they were traded.
  9. The Cardinals FO feels like one that would "go for it" even though their team is not good. Kinda like how we held onto all our guys a year and a half too long.
  10. The Royals are really puzzling. Their entire offense seems to be Witt, a 34 year old twilight year Perez, and smoke and mirrors. Somehow that's the 4th best OPS in the AL which probably says more about how bad some of the other teams in the AL are.
  11. The last time we faced Cole Ragans he allowed 7 runs and didn't get out of the second inning. Let's not pretend this due is Randy Johnson.
  12. WS this year easily. There was no caveat that we WOULDN'T make the playoffs in the next ten years, so I'll take this while we have it lol.
  13. And I think you are overrating Tanner Scott lol.
  14. True about the gap yea. We really don't know who's going to be available right now. Scott probably will be. Main point, If I am Elias I am not throwing all my best trade chips in the pot for Tanner Scott. That's just not a guy that's likely to move the needle enough, and it's only for 1/2 a season. If we got him for another year or two that'd be a little different.
  15. There's big gaps between Fuji, Tanner Scott, and an established shut down closer. We shouldn't overpay for someone like Tanner Scott. If we can get him for appropriate value, sure let's do it.
  16. The Rangers got hot and won a WS despite not really being that great of a team overall. They had a great offense that went nuclear in the postseason, which was enough to overcome a mostly pedestrian pitching staff (both starters and bullpen). If we keep our main core, we should have several WS runs in the next 4-5 years.
  17. Both, although he's most likely traded. Or at least, that's probably the route we need to take. Shipping him out for 1/2 season of a guy with a 1.25 WHIP and 3.77 FIP doesn't sound like a good plan to me.
  18. Wow there's no way I'm trading Norby for 1/2 a season of Tanner Scott. If we get him AND Luzardo the package would include Norby sure. Also, I don't think the Orioles will go the route of JD Martinez, who would basically take up a roster spot to only DH against LH and pinch hit (I.E. no fielding value at all).
  19. Didn't JLC say he'd trade Jackson Holliday for Robert lol.
  20. That was kinda my thought, to even pass Gunnar is going to be tough.
  21. Is it too late for Adley to enter the MVP race? I know there's some pretty tough competition in the AL
  22. This team has a MVP candidate in Gunnar and prob best catcher in the game in Adley, but my favorite players are the Westburg/Cowser duo. They are just a joy to watch.
  23. Remember when Tate came in that one game and struck everybody out and for a second we thought he was back.
