  1. Type remove paywall into google and you should be able to find a few sites that can bypass that issue.
  2. The young man sits atop the wRC+ and OPS leaderboards for the entirety of the minor leagues. What a talent. https://ibb.co/phJ3RCy
  3. Doomers are the best. If they're right, they get to jerk themselves off about how right they were. If they're wrong, they get to celebrate that their favorite team won. You get the best of both worlds. Truly a next-level coping mechanism
  4. I'm assuming this, among other things, is where the douche label comes from. Just imagine Adley trying to meet this guy halfway to the dugout after a bad inning.

  7. According to Fangraph's baserunning metric BsR, Adley was our second most valuable baserunner last year narrowly behind Jorge Mateo and significantly beating out Mullins. BsR is a cumulative statistic like WAR so actually on a rate basis Adley was an even more valuable baserunner per game than Mateo! BsR Totals: Mateo: 5.8, .0386/game Rutschman: 5.0, .0442/game Mullins: 3.3, .0211/game This is all despite Adley only stealing 4 bases last year compared to Mateo and Mulllins at 35 and 34 respectively. In the context of the rest of the leasue, Adley's 5.0 BsR ranks him as the 19th most valuable baserunner in all of baseball and the 2nd most valuable baserunning catcher only behind J.T Realmuto. Notable players with slightly less BsR than Adley: Ronald Acuna Jr, Mookie Betts and Julio Rodriguez Taking this all in, it makes you wonder if Fangraphs needs to adjust their BsR metric but I'm going to be optimistic and assume that Adley must be the GOAT at taking the extra base when he can. This absurd accumulation of baserunning value might help explain how Adley was able to amass 5.3 fWAR in only 113 games played If you want to look into how BsR is calculated: https://library.fangraphs.com/offense/bsr/
