No it is not! Show me a 230 IP starting pitcher and you will not get the same sample, except for a few anomalies or from before the 1990 era of baseball. Not one season in The last 24 years.

I read a OH post in the last several months that compared Adley’s first two seasons as a catcher and he had the best career start. @Frobby may know this stat, but my novice searches are not coming up on OH. Baseball reference has searchable filters, so it may have been a @DrungoHazewoodpost. Adley May have a career year as a hitter. Or a very good average season. Still perplexed at the volume of usage. No catcher has played 150 games a season

MASN threw out the pitch spectrum thrown to Holliday before his first hit Sunday and it was all over the strike zone map. The opponents analytics are keeping him off balance by throwing everything different. This will work for sometime, until you get into game situations like Sunday night. Holiday will adjust, but it’s going to be a first half struggle with some bright spots
