"Myers was a workhorse for the Blue Devils, finishing with an 8-2 record and a 1.51 ERA while striking out 79 hitters across 69.2 innings. He walked 22 and never gave up a home run. His fastball has registered in the low 90s.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-handed pitcher and hitter was also a slick fielder at shortstop, and he hit .313 in 83 at-bats this season, including two home runs, a triple and four doubles. He also posted a .457 slugging percentage."

He was announced as a pitcher, so I think that's how they view him. Listening some to the MLB online stream yesterday, they reiterated frequently that this was a weak class for HS shortstops. I'm sure if Myers could've profiled at the position he would've had suitors.

He's a little taller and lighter than Givens. With a few years and a professional nutrition/lifting regimen, no reason to think he couldn't put on some weight and MPH on his FB. He's very young. I don't think he's turned 18 yet. I really like this pick in the 6th round. Only upside.

His delivery and build reminds me of Gonzo. Sure miss that guy.
