Let's hope Verducci is right about T-Bag

He's making WAY too many judgments off of last season, then compounding the issue by making poor comparisons to players who had really good years in their early- and (in Giambi's case so far) mid-30s.

You know what one of the great things is about Joe Posnanski? When he's writing something that is just slow-period/boredom writing, or he's making knowingly-questionable comparisons, or when he's manipulating stats in a certain way just to see what happens, he let's you know right away what is coming.

All writers should do that. Because in cases like this where it is completely obvious that some of those things are happening in the article, it really makes me question why I would want to read any more.

Of course Posnanski is way better. I just hate T-Bag.

Well, yeah. Me too. I just want there to be legitimate reasons why he fails, like an increased aging curve, or that he drowns puppies.

And for the record, I think Verducci is one of the best out there. I just don't like articles like this in general, because they sound like they tell us something without actually doing so. And he writes them sometimes. Posnanski does, too, but he'll let you know.
