Nothing comes up for my specific day (2/15/66), but this transaction is just listed under February:

The Baltimore Orioles sent Chuck Estrada to the California Angels as part of a conditional deal.

Oh, but I was born the offseason Frank Robinson was acquired and changed the course of the organization forever.

Dave McNally goes 7 innings in a 3-1 loss to the Twins. It was the Orioles' 4th straight loss and put them a 1/2 game back in the AL East.

Interestingly, according to the box score, Belanger batted leadoff, followed by Johnny Oates?

I never realized Belanger ever hit in the leadoff spot?

With respect to the guy who was born the day Nolan Ryan no hit the O's, I think I win the thread.

September 15, 1977

Marty Springstead was one of Weaver's least favorite umpires. On September 15, 1977, in Toronto, Weaver asked umpire Springstead to have a tarpaulin covering the Toronto Blue Jays bullpen area removed; the tarp was weighed down by bricks and Weaver argued that his left fielder could be injured if he ran into the bricks while chasing a foul ball. When the umpire refused to order the Blue Jays to move the tarp, Weaver pulled the Orioles off the field, forcing the umpire to declare a forfeit: the only forfeit in Orioles history.

Saturday, April 18, 1981. No game. How lame is no game on a Saturday?

Probably a rainout. Things like that happen in April in Kansas City, I bet.

No game on my birthday either. It was a travel day for the World Series between the Yankees and the Milwaukee Braves. On the other hand, there was baseball news since the Dodgers announced that they would be moving from Brooklyn to Los Angeles the next year. 10/8/57 for those not inclined to look it up.
