Opening Day of 1970

The O's beat the Indians 8-2 coming back from a 2-1 deficit and scoring 7 runs in the last 3 innings of the game.

Dave McNally (who resided in Billings MT, my hometown, until his death a few years back) pitched a complete game with 13 Ks.

Frank Robinson went 2 for 4 with a double and a homerun. Mark Belanger went 0-5 with 2 Ks.

The O's go on to win 108 games and win their 2nd World Series title.

June 30, 1977. Orioles lose at Cleveland 4-2, Wayne Garland beating Ross Grimsley. Murray and Singleton both doubled for the only extra base hits of the game for Baltimore. Meanwhile, Indians SS Frank Duffy homered twice, two of just four homers he would hit all season, and two of the 26 he had in his career, spanning 915 games.

June 3, 1971 was an off-day. The O's had beaten the White Sox in Chicago the day before, 3-2 in 12 innings, in front of 9,547 at Comiskey. The O's were tied for first place at 28-19. It was the 2nd win of a 9-game winning streak.

Apparently they fell to second place on my birthday as they sat idle but went back into first place on June 4 and remained there the rest of the season. :clap3:
