MLB Network's top 100 players "right now"

I caught two shows, 41-60 and 61-80, over the weekend.

One thing that struck me was how many relief pitchers they included. Just in this group of 40 players, they had seven relievers: Wilson, Bell, Soriano, Soria, Feliz, Marmol and Bailey. I've got to think that a few more are lurking.

Jeter was ranked somewhere in the high 40's, and Harold Reynolds was aghast, saying how he couldn't understand how Jeter wasn't in the top 20 players in the game. Really, Harold? "Right now?" This show isn't handing out lifetime achievement awards. I dont know why Jeter was even in the top 50.

Overall, the format of the show is pretty good, as they stop to discuss the players after every little group of 2-4 guys.

Unfortunately, Harold Reynolds is fast approaching John Kruk-levels of unwatchability. Unlike Kruk's fairly even level of poor baseball discussion, he'll say some things that make sense, but he'll also say so many things that go to the far end of the spectrum that I'll simply change the channel on the spot.

That's really why I haven't watched more of this series so far.
