Was just reminiscing about an off season where with a lot of trades, the White Sox were able to improve by 28 games, year to year.

I can't find an off-season that fits that perfectly, but it is interesting to me that over the past 40 years, the White Sox have had single-season improvements of 23, 26, 25, and 20 games.

That's just looking at their records, so I don't know if that is common for clubs over the same length of time or not.

Also, congrats to Hemond. He did some great work over the years, and did the best he could with the dust he would pull up from the minor-league well in Baltimore.

I saw Rollie in the stands in Scottsdale when I was out there for the AFL. He looks good.
