Looks like the A squad is back in action. Glad to see they're giving Bell some time at 1st base.

Josh Bell played first base in the ninth inning of Tuesday's home exhibition opener. Today, Bell will make his first start there.

For the Orioles:

Brian Roberts 2B

Nick Markakis RF

Luke Scott LF

Vladimir Guerrero DH

Mark Reynolds 3B

Adam Jones CF

Matt Wieters C

J.J. Hardy SS

Josh Bell 1B

Brian Matusz LHP

Can't wait to slot Lee into that #3 spot and drop Scott down between Guerrero and Reynolds. I get more excited about this team every day. Don't really care about W's or L's right now, but seeing the starting pitchers, especially the young guys, doing well, the key bullpen pitchers all throwing well, and most of the hitters clicking (except Reynolds and Scott at this point) has been great. If Tillman and Britton are able to harness their talent, this team could be very good, and not just this year.

Me too. Nishioka pops out to BRob. Followed by a walk to Hughes. And Benson lines out to Hardy. Looks like 9 pitches total.

Pay no attention to the pitch counts offered by Gameday during Spring Training. They're not accurate.

During spring training, the pitch totals are not correct. It shows 3 pitches for a strikeout, 4 pitches for a walk, and 1 pitch for a hit or out (non-K).

So, 1 K, 1 W and 2 outs shows up as 9 pitches.
