Rays Desmond Jenning has to wait

All the talk about Demond Jennings this winter being a big part of the Rays will have to wait. Sam Fuld has taken his spot in the OF.

This has to be fairly good for the O's. At a high, superficial level Fuld and Jennings are similar players (and both are kind of Matt Angles with a bit more power), but Fuld is five, six years older. It's usually a good thing when you can get your competition to give lots of playing time to essentially a 29-year-old rookie who's almost a AAA lifer.

Fuld might be ok, but this gives us hope that they'll have some outfield churn and less chance of an impact from a Jennings breakthrough ala Brett Gardner.
