Hope he's alright, too. Corey was one of my favorite Orioles of recent seasons. Not the best player but was fun to watch on the bases, had a little pop, good defender.

I may be nitpicking here, but I really hope Varitek wasn't able to actually see what was on the field while he was speaking, because his lack of a reaction at the beginning followed by continuing to talk about himself after Patterson was hit in the head was pretty classless. The announcers just sat back and let him finish too. I would have expected some sort of reaction from them, especially Varitek. Even if it's just shock factor.

Bard looked pretty concerned on the mound too, saw that he called to check on Corey. Glad he's going to be ok. Always liked him.
