Someone please tell me why it's so hard to stay back on Vargas's stuff.

It's definitely not like he's got an overpowering fastball.

Because he has an equivalent result with an inning or more less pitches. To me, that means Zach got out pitched.

He'll need to get out of this inning with less than 18 pitches without giving up a run. Vargas' walks are infinitely higher than Britton's.

It depends on how you define "outpitched". Britton has had better results, but Vargas has "pitched" better. The art of pitching is what I'm saying. It doesn't matter. Both have been really, really exceptional. The good news is that Vargas doesn't have great stuff so one bad pitch may be all we need.

I can't watch the game, listening to the radio. It sounds that the Orioles have had a lot of hard hit balls that weren't hits such as Guererro's track shot early in the game.
