So sad. My wife's family are all Twins fans who live in Minnesota. I can attest to how good Harmon is to the fans and how much they love him.

I hope he is able to finish his battle with some level of comfort. Cancer sucks.

I remember watching Killebrew along with Tony Oliva, Rod Carew, and Cesar Tovar when I was a little kid.

The nationally televised games were  Saturday Afternoon Game of the Week, along with  Monday Night Baseball, which always had a great pre-game show with The Baseball World of Joe Garagiola.

One of the nicest baseball players I have ever met, though I only got to meet him once, at the All Star Fanfest in 93. From what I can tell he's like the Brooks Robinson of the Twin Cities. This is very sad and he will be greatly missed.

Twins will be wearing their 1961 cream-colored uniforms at home for the rest of the season to honor Killebrew.
