I've long been a (disappointed) believer in Lou. Good to see he's getting another shot. He was crushing the ball in AAA. I was glad to see him move on this winter because I still think he can be productive in MLB, and he needed a fresh start somewhere.

Hope Lou can make this opportunity a chance to stick for good.

Montañez was drafted by the Chicago Cubs third overall in the 2000 MLB Draft. He spent seven seasons in the Cubs' minor league system, but never made it to the Major Leagues. On January 5, 2007, he signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles.

Congrats to Lou Montanez ! I am really pulling for him. He was a fan favorite in AA Bowie. Glad he is getting another chance.

Just an FYI for those who follow former Os. Lou Montanez put up a 1.002 OPS in AAA and earned a promotion to the Cubs. Hope he does well.
