Good point about DC and OHearn but that’s using hindsight. Im not sure how Gibson exceeded expectations. -

Eh. I don't like the player. I'd rather play Kjerstad. -
I’d say with 20/20 hindsight, I’d give it a C or a C+. The O’Hearn and Coulombe pickups turned out to be pretty meaningful and Gibson probably exceeded most people’s expectations. -
The lowly Reds once signed Joey Votto to a 10-year, $218 mm contract. But they are very light on long-term commitments now. They have Hunter Greene signed to a 6/$53 mm deal with 2 options, and that’s it other than this Martinez deal.
