they are trying to save money. Now if they honestly think that Archie Bradley is the best player left on the board at 4, then pick him. They did this two years ago when they drafted Matt Hobgood and they ended up paying him more then expected. You have to draft the best player and then try to work out a contract. These playes put out high asking prices and you have to be smart enough to call their bluff. It might go down to the wire but most of the time, the player will sign the contract.
