Unfortunately, most of those guys actually deserve it.

I wouldn't say that most deserve it. IMO, there are better candidates at C, SS and 3B.

Here's what I think it should be:

1B: AGon (BOS)

2B: Cano (NY)

SS: A. Cabrera (CLE)

3B: Beltre (TEX)

C: Wieters (BAL)

DH:Ortiz (BOS)

OF: Bautista (TOR)

OF: Quentin (CHI)

OF: Granderson (NY)

I say, go out and vote for the Yankees and Red Sox players. Maybe when the entire starting lineup is made up of players from those two teams, deserving or not, they finally make a change to that joke of a game.

But that's the thing. Its not a joke of a game. The JOKE is the way MLB allows teams to buy all the talent they want. With the exception of Cano and Jeter, the other Yankees were all-stars before they were Yankees. So its not the fans voting wrong...the fans are voting for the best players. The problem is the best players all play for one team...the $250 million payroll Yankees! THAT is the real problem. MLB can talk about realignment and balanced schedules and everything else, but until they fix the salary structure the Yanks will continue to buy every good player.

And in case there is any question, I fully expect Pujols to receive a huge offer from the Yanks this offseason. They will find a spot for the best player in the game, whether they have a hole or not.

Only one non-AL East player amongst the starters. And that doesn't even include anyone from the reigning AL East champion Rays.

I agree with everything you said. But the more fans see this ridiculousness, whether it be AS game lineup or championships, the more it will propel change to actually make this a more fair game.
