Good for Jeter. I hate the Yankees but hating everyone one of their players is exhausting, Jeter is one of the good ones and he deserves it.

I'm not sure I'd go as far as claim he's one of the good ones...

Granderson and Rivera are as good as they get. I'll be incredibly relieved (yuk yuk) when Rivera retires, but he's got my full respect. Grateful to have watched him play. Gardner seems like a solid all around guy as well and I love his game. Those three all get passes from me. The rest, well, yeah.

I go back and forth on Swisher. He's sort of your classic funny d-bag. He's incredibly obnoxious on the other team, but I know I'd love him if he were an O.

Why not? He's been a great offensive shortstop, always plays the game hard, and I've never heard a bad word about him in the press (amazing considering where he plays). We would have been thrilled to have him on the O's for the last 15 years. He is the equivalent of Mariano or Joe Torre - a Yankee I just can't bring myself to hate.

Seriously, awesome accomplishment, good dude, hope he ends his career with grace.

But never wins another ring.

Yeah, all jokes aside, congrats to him. I just wish it was some Texas leaguer over second base, not a homer in a 5-5 day.
