Meh. 1B only. A little pop. Strikes out too much as 23 year old in A+. I'd move him straight to AA to see what happens. Between Townsend, Mahoney, Baker and Snyder we've got quite the logjam of positionally limited bench bats.

Aaron Baker needed a break-out season and he produced one. He's been selected to 2011 South Division All Stars.

In advanced-A, Baker's hit 18-HR and stole 3 bases while posting a slash-line of .286/.346/.445. At this point, Baker's still just a fringe prospect, but he's showed some spark in his aged-23 season at High-A.

Still, it's going to be tough for Baker to make it as an older first basemen that's yet to show serious power.

He hits righties very well, struggles with left hand pitching. Hits better in the day than the night games. 23 years old in A Ball. He should be at Bowie in a few days. What I don't get is why are we stockpiling 1st basemen?
