Oakland's pitching and hitting switch places - what happened?

At the all-star break, Oakland had the best ERA in the league at 3.12. Since then, they've been second worst (to the Orioles, of course) at 4.91. What happened to these guys?

Moscoso -- 2.16 ERA in the first half, 4.33 in the second half

Gonzalez -- 2.47 ERA in the first half, 5.25 in the second half

Cahill -- 3.12 ERA in the first half, 6.86 in the second half

Amazingly, Oakland was 39-53 at the all-star break, but 27-27 in the second half. So whoever says "it's all about pitching" had better take a look at what's going on in Oakland. They had a .636 OPS and scored 3.42 runs/game before the break, and have had a .764 OPS and scored 5.15 runs/game since the break.
