wildcard
The Orioles told me Patton still qualifies as a rookie... I should have asked you before. I would have included Patton in the top 30.
Enjoy Terror
Being a rookie is one thing. Being a prospect is completely different.

Now you could argue whether be belongs in the top 30, but the fact that he ended the year in the majors say he is a prospect.
Frobby
Being a rookie is one thing.Being a prospect is completely different. Well, we don't have 30 guys in the minors who are going to be as good as Patton. If he qualifies, he's in my top 30.
eb45
I think he had the 45 days in 2011 alone. He was called up July 16th, spent 30 days in August on the roster, that's 45 right there. Plus 12 days in 2007 and 2010.
Jammer7
I think he had the 45 days in 2011 alone. He was called up July 16th, spent 30 days in August on the roster, that's 45 right there. Plus 12 days in 2007 and 2010. He was off the roster for a few days in August to attend to court matters. The #30 player on my list has generated a bit of a stir...nice to know someone read my long post. Honestly, I forgot about the days on the roster requirement when I put him on there. If he is indeed a rookie as the O's have told Tony, then he is absolutely a prospect in that range. He just turned 26 on on Septemeber 3. He did a very solid job in the pen and pitched through some pressure situations. He had a 22/5 K/BB ratio in 30 innings this year, with a .223 BA against and a 1.00 whip. I'd prefer he get more ground balls as his GO/AO ratio is .5. He was finally healthy and may have found his role. His FB should stay in the low 90's out of the pen in 1-2 inning stints. I thought his change was very good. His breaking ball needs some refinement, but it's not bad at all. Buck trusted him in some tight situations and he came through. Is he a nugget? eb45
He'd absolutely make my list if eligible. I'm just pretty sure he isn't.
