That this game is in St. Louis is idiotic. Interestingly, St. Louis was the victim back in '04, the other time this happened under the "This Time It Counts" bull. I don't have an explicit rooting interest, both I hope the teams produce some good baseball over the next several days.

Curious as to why you say this. Is it because of their records? I thought that, prior to the all-star implications, they alternated home field each year.

Hell of an adjustment for the meat of the Cards line up the 2nd time through the order facing Wilson. They take it opposite field, string together 3 straight hits, and take a 2-0 lead in game 1.

Yes, they did alternate previous to recognizing the All-Star Game winner as the decider of home-field advantage.
