That's what one source just told me. Caught me by surprise as well. Treat it as RUMINT (Rumor Intelligence) until I know more.

Well that's out of left field. Unexpected but expected...

Why are we interviewing everybody else? And has Hart had some secret interview?

That might be the last straw for me.

Anyone know a good Royals message board? If I am going to jump teams I want to do it before the bandwagoners jump on.

Hart isn't a bad choice if the Orioles are going the all-in FA route.

That's why he'd be a terrible choice.

Thanks for sharing Tony.

Haven't had any great inside info in a while - and since you're the boss, no one can give you a hard time about it. ;)

LOL...Been saying this the whole time.

The Orioles will still hire some garbage, run of the mill GM.

MAYBE we can get lucky, as Allstar has pointed out and Hart will be brought in as a president role and Levine will be the GM and be able to run the player development and minors.

BTW, did Hart and Graham cross paths in Cleveland?

I'm also hearing Graham as Director of minor league operations (pending on Hart) and John Stockstill will move into a bigger scouting role. Again, treat it as RUMINT but it does make some sense.

It make sense, dominos-wise (which is what I imagine you meant). To me, it doesn't make any sense from an institutional perspective.

LOL....This team is intent on being pathetic.

Can't wait to see the lollipop gang spin this one.

When I first saw the title, I thought Cindy unearthed another thread from a month and a half ago. I really hope your sources are wrong. For once, I thought they had nothing but good options. Leave it to the birds to find a way to screw it up.

    • Gausman pitches for Toronto today, so I give them the edge, putting them against TB again in the WC.    I'd rather face them than the 2nd best team in the league, TB.  Plus, there is a lot of payback coming, 2016, Cito in '93.... Most likely, it'll be TB instead
    • I'll take 2024 Holliday bat/glove over 2023 Frazier at second.  Or Mateo for that matter. If we can hold serve, or improve, while not impeding Holliday it's smart to do so.
    • You are right … no reseeding.. my bad .  Given that, I prefer Toronto win today and then beat TB in wild card
    • Seems like they should be ready. They might be the best argument against bringing Hicks back.
    • Today BAL is 24th of the 30 Clubs in Wins since play began in 2019.     It'll be interesting to see how far these Adley teams can climb the AL ladder the next four or more years. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/major-league?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&month=0&ind=0&team=0%2Cts&startdate=&enddate=&season1=2019&season=2023&sortcol=2&sortdir=default&pagenum=1 2019-present, we are already ahead of DET-KCR. Teams to leap frog next year: -trail TEX by 3 games, trail LAA by 5 games, trail OAK by 14 games, trail CHW by 27 games Teams to leap frog by end of 2025 -trail BOS by 40 games Those projected achievements would get Elias' Club to 8th of the 15 AL Clubs for 2019-2025.     How deep he took the dive helped how high it can fly.    Elias and Adley in time, if we are lucky, becomes a Belichick and Brady kind of thing.     If the Start Time is instead Adley's MLB debut, as managed by Elias, its already ATL-LAD-HOU-BAL.
    • Do you really want to pay Cedric Mullins FA rates for his age 31+ seasons? I don't, and that's not a knock on him or what he's done. Just the simple reality that it's hard to play good CF defense in your thirties and Cedric probably lacks the bat to be especially valuable in left field. Hopefully Bradfield Jr. or Fabian is knocking on the door in two years.
    • All of them would be tough outs, but you expect that since it’s the playoffs. FWIW we are 3-3 against Texas. 3-3 against Houston. 8-5 against Tampa. 10-3 against Toronto. I really don’t want to play any of them from a “who do I think we ll beat” because I think we can beat them all. Toronto beating us would bother me the most.
