Nice managing by La Russa, but the Cardinals are all over the place with 2 errors in 1 inning. They are very fortunate that the Rangers only scored one run right there. Nice comeback by Salas after Holliday's error, plus his own throwing error.

Does anyone remember the 1988 NBA Finals ??? The Pistons were up 3 games to 2. In Game Six, Isaiah Thomas was white hot. He twisted his ankle late in the 3rd quarter. Decision time for Chuck Daly. Do you take him out immediately, ice the ankle down, and have him close to 100 % if it goes to a 7th game ??? Or do you go for the jugular, keep him in there before the injury cools down, and try to close it out right there. They went for the jugular and almost pulled it off, but the Lakers prevailed and won the game by 1 point. Game Seven comes around, Isaiah plays, but he is nowhere near 70 percent, let alone 100. The Lakers win the game, and the series.

I'm only mentioning this because Napoli's injury immediately reminded me of that. It's not the same, but it's somewhat similar. Napoli has been a major factor thus far for the Rangers. It looks like they are going for it, with Napoli toughing it out. If it goes to a 7th game, it should be interesting to see how well Napoli can play, if at all.

I was 3 years old in '88, so no... I don't remember, but interesting comparison nevertheless. Although once you sub out in baseball, you can't return. (I know you know that, just sayin')

I want the Cardinals to win, but they are pretty much sealing their own fate. They are playing like a bunch of sandlotters. They are reminding me of the 1984 Padres.

Here's Ken Weinman's take via the Twitter:

The rangers and cardinals think tonight is a halloween party and they both came as the orioles #worldseries

Weinman is an excellent talk show host here in Baltimore on 105.7 The Fan for those of you who aren't in the area.

This has to be one of the worst-played World Series games of all time. Five errors, critical baserunning blunders-- and that's just Matt Holliday! :wedge:

Overall though a good series, every game close but Game 3. I want Texas to win, they are the better team. They are a complete team, and another Championship after Buck leaves means we will be guaranteed a title also. :)
