I agree. I didn't mind the low scoring, but LSU couldn't do crap and Alabama couldn't make a FG to save their life. It just wasn't a well-played game at all.

Its going to be difficult for the SEC as a conference to claim another national championship. Not sure if LSU can get pass Arkansas not to mention Ok State and Stanford. IMO, Alabama is more complete and up to the task. If they had a kicker who could kick field goals...

Kicking game is so important, without you are not complete. Biggest game of the season and you go 2/5 for FGs? Not deserving of a NC.

Except for the K, Alabama is a more complete team than LSU. But barring losses by several teams, they shouldn't be in the NC game.

One loss Bama is much more deserving than unbeaten Boise. Stanford and OSU maybe more deserving if unbeaten. Either way, those are the two best teams.

One loss Bama is much more deserving than unbeaten Boise. Stanford and OSU maybe more deserving if unbeaten. Either way, those are the two best teams.

What kills me is that we've known all year that we don't have a reliable kicker. For us, a 40 yard attempt is akin to a 50 yarder for a team with a halfway decent kicker, which is why it is so perplexing that we would even attempt FGs of 44, 50, and 49 in regulation (we basically had to attempt the 52 yarder in OT due to crappy playcalling). Why not just punt, pin LSU deep and take the field position advantage rather than hand it over to them at mid-field? Maybe then we could turn one of our drives into an actual TD. Either way, if either OSU or Stanford is undefeated, they deserve a shot at the NC. After that, Alabama should get a rematch. And all credit to LSU, those guys capitalize on whatever the other team gives them and always finds a way to win. Great team (except for Tyrann Matthieu who should have been ejected, suspended, and drawn and quartered for his cheap shot on Dre Kirpatrick).
