Duquette is working the international market.

I like the concept.

Now execute.

I would be interested to know whether this started with Duquette, or was already in the works before Duquette arrived. My guess is that Duquette will get the credit for any international signings this winter, but the O's were already actively scouting the market in the Far East this fall before naming a GM.

If Chong doesn't pan out, blame MacPhail ;)

Apparently reports out of Korea is that Chong Tae-Hyon has signed with the Orioles...for 2 years/ 3MM.

And then Knobler responds:

@_Yeogong sorry, I was confused. Orioles have been talking to Chong. May have signed him. Checking on it

Somebody else, responds:

@DKnobler Thank you Very Much. signed confirmed?

And Knobler states, signing is not confirmed "yet". But we've talked to him.

Dr. Smead (History at College Park) always said: The guy at the top gets all the credit and all the blame. Rightly or wrongly.

Of course he was talking about Presidents of the US. I say same applies to GM's.
