Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain suffered an open dislocation and fracture of his right ankle Thursday while playing with his son. He underwent surgery Thursday night, and there is no timetable for his return. Chamberlain was already expected to be out until at least June as he recovered from Tommy John surgery he underwent in June 2011.

Quadruple OUCH! I want Joba to fail on the baseball field, but not because of an injury, and certainly not for an injury like this.

That's the foot he pushes off the mound. It seems to me like he's never going to be the same pitcher, if he ever pitches again.

So the vision of a complete non fractured leg bone breaking through the thin skin of the ankle passed through your brain too?

I didn't laugh because of the injury, but I did laugh because of back-to-back tweets that said "Joba Chamberlain suffers dislocated ankle"..."Brian Cashman called it a significant injury."

Oh really? No ****!

Uh, Brian ....... he almost died !!! Earth to Brian Cashman, Earth to Brian Cashman.

Exactly my thoughts. That's pretty scary that this happened and he lost so much blood.
