If they deal him they have dealt their best longman option IMO, for whatever that is worth. I would try to see Wada pitch every 5 days, even if it's extended spring training. I know Patton was a starter in the past, so does Phillips make it?

If he is gone who makes the team in his place? Could they try to do without a true longman at the beginning of the season and take their chances. Maybe they could keep O'Day as well, and send him down if the starters aren't going deep into games. I think Simon has some value myself.
