Why?

I won't argue with the pitching need, but, if Markakis comes back healthy and Roberts stays as such, the line-up's looking quite dangerous without any outside additions.

Roberts' presence alone just seems to let everyone else slot into positions to which they're perfectly suited.

Realistically we have two solid SP in Chen and Hammel, and one so so SP in Matusz. We need at least one more SP. We have a formerly great lead off hitter in Roberts, good 3, 4, 5, hitters in Jones, Weiters, and and Reynolds. Davis shows great promise. But we need a solid bat at either LF or 3B, and we have neither.
