"The Chicago White Sox are making a strong push to acquire Marlins third baseman Miguel Cabrera, industry sources said late this afternoon.

The hallways at the winter meetings were buzzing that the White Sox are close to making “a major announcement,” and team sources confirmed it has to do with Cabrera. "

Well now this from Rotoworld. Regardless, looks like he's headed to the Central. Hopefully LAA makes a push for Miggy now.

"MLB.com is reporting that the Tigers are set to acquire Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis from the Marlins for Cameron Maybin, Andrew Miller and four more prospects."

Yes - if Cabrera goes to the White Sox and Santana goes to the Red Sox, then the market for Bedard and Tejada should shape up quickly thereafter.

I think that we're going to see a huge deal from someone for Bedard. I wouldn't be shocked at all to see a 5 player deal with better players than the Sox are offering for Santana.

The Tigers and Marlins are hammering out the final details on an eight-player trade that would send third baseman Miguel Cabrera and left-handed starter Dontrelle Willis to Detroit for a left-hander Andrew Miller, outfielder Cameron Maybin and four other prospects.

I dont really believe there would be 6 prospects involved but wow, talk about conflicting reports.

He is definitely going to be somewhere tonight.
