The Nats Broadcast Blows

The lovefest over there is sickening. They talk about the players like they've won three world series in a row and can't lose. Gio Gonzalez was asked the following question, "Gio, I here that you are really funny in the clubhouse and everyone loves you, what do you attribute that to?" I guess if you are a Nats fan, its all good but if you aren't, I doubt you could last til the 3rd inning without barfing.

Bob Carpenter is one of the absolute worst. I hate his voice.

FP Santangelo, on the other hand, is actually pretty good.

Carpenter and Hunter are pretty much the same guy.

I know a lot of people don't like Santangelo, but I've liked him the few times I've heard him (which is basically when they do that weird dual-broadcast thing). He's a bit of a homer for a color guy, but I like his enthusiasm.

They both are extreme shills for the home team. That's why they're there. I will say that at least the O's moved Hunter to the post-game show, where IMO he fits a little better.

Bob Carpenter is the worst PBP guy in the business. As far as obnoxious shills go, he reminds me a lot of Michael Reghi.

I have a soft spot for the Nats, but I rarely watch their games simply because the broadcast is so bad. Homerism aside, they are just boring, which is far, far worse.
