I don't like this trend of the outfielder acquiescing to the infielder on shallow flyballs. If the outfielder can get to it, he has to call the infielder off no matter what. It is the same reason that Reimold dropped that ball on Friday.

Pop-up sailed on JJ a little bit, and he had to reach behind him to make what otherwise would have been a routine play.

Just checking into the game thread - the first and second outs were definitely nice to see. The first convincing play from 3rd that I can remember to date, as well as Markakis' reputation and ability to play the wall turning a double into a single.

What happened?

A popup in the very shallow left outfield (almost the infield, depending on your judgment) that Hardy caught. It seemed to be up in the air for an hour and a half. Hardy had to catch it over his shoulder, just barely got it. He looked like he was swimming out there with his arms waving around.

What happened?

Pop out to end the inning, but Hardy appeared to lose it in the lights near the end, but was able to recover just in time and still make the catch. Ridiculously close to falling in.
