If Nick Johnson goes ofer again tonight, I say cut him. Having a guy start the year 0-30 is totally unacceptable.

Its just unfair to the rest of the team, especially to Matusz, to keep throwing a guy like that out there. At least he's not in the field again.

Pitching and defense, bro. That's what most games (and subsequently most pennants) usually come down to. If Brian continues to progress like he's been and our defense is solid, they can put almost anyone out there, and we're almost assured of a win tonight.

And because of the recent memory of Garrett Atkins. Not an absolute 0-fer, but it felt like it b/c he was starting everyday.
