Matusz giving us just enough of vintage late-2010 Matusz to keep the Rays off the board (solo homer on a hung curveball notwithstanding). Well, maybe enough and a little more, judging from that strikeout right there. :clap3:

When you have an 8-1 blowout (by either team), little things like this don't really matter. But in a 2-1 game going into the bottom of the 5th, these things have weight.

I really think the 4th inning for Matusz was maybe the best I've seen him throw this year. Of course it helps that he has an umpire that calls the low strike.

Nice thing about Jekyll & Hyde (Matusz)is that the ball is down. in 2010 the ball was down....Against the Yanks the ball was down...Against Texas "Kaboom".

Good things will happen for Matusz if he can keeo the ball down.
