I like the idea of Avery batting 9th. His speed and line drive power make him an OBP machine and I want my 9th man on almost as much as my leadoff guy.

We'll see. It would be unusual for a guy with a .328 minor league OBP and a 7% walk rate to become a good major league leadoff hitter, but I suppose stranger things have happened.

I think Avery's defensive scouting report reads something like "has the tools to mostly make up for poor reads and routes."

I love that they want Chen to be the stopper after only 2 losses in a row. It's refreshing for 2 losses in a row to not be expected.
