Currently we're asking the angels for Wood and Adenhart for Tejada. We're asking the Dodgers for a 4-1 package which they'll do but will not include both Kemp and Kershaw in the deal. Some favor Either over Kemp if we can get Kershaw.

He doesn't think Angelos will ok a Roberts trade unless a major dismantling has already taken place. I asked about minor league free agents, free agents or other trades and he said he's hearing nothing on any of these topics. I also asked about interest in Rowand and he believes that was a false rumor.

It just goes along with the discussion in the other thread. You don't want Roberts to be the ONLY trade this offseason. However, if the other guys go too, then why not Roberts. Sounds like that might be Angelos' thinking,and rightfully so.

Great stuff, BB. Thanks as always. I had a feeling that would be the case, and I hope he does come down from his demands for both Tejada and Bedard. Kershaw, Ethier, and then two of Laroche, Hu, Meloan would seem like fair return to me IMO. Is there still talk of taking back Pierre and moving Payton? At any rate, glad to hear that the feelings are things can still get done.

I'm sure we will alter our demands for Tejada.

For Bedard, I would make it a 2 for 1 package if we could get Kemp and Kershaw. They can keep Hu, McDonald, Elbert, Broxton, etc...

If they wouldn't go for it, I would ask for Kemp, Laroche and Hu.

If we get Wood in the Angels deal can him or Hu play second base. I'd say that Hu probably could, but that's just a guess. However, I thought he was pretty slick with the glove at SS. LaRoche would obviously be our 3B so no room for Wood there.

So where would Wood play?

It's going to take some time but I do think we will lower our demands eventually and meet these teams in a middle ground. I think MacPhail is doing the right thing starting high. Thanks as always for the info BB
