No way Tejada should be on this team next year!!! The man doesn't want to be here and frankly his kind of attitude needs to be out of Baltimore. We need young guys that love and respect the city, and want to be a Baltimore Oriole. Tejada is not that guy.

That doesn't matter to be , maybe because I am not from the area. I do think Tejada needs to go and hopefully to the Angels for a Wood package.

I think Tejada will have a very good year next year. Especially if he is moved to a contender. I would hope MacPhail would put atleast one other player in the deal besides Wood even if he's a PTBNL based on Tejada's performance. Like I said, I think he will play very well if moved. Put a solid list of pitchers in on the back end of the deal to pick from if Tejada reaches some performance levels ala the Traschel deal.

If we get younger, which it sounds like we will be, we need to get rid of all negative examples on the team. Tejada will be much happier playing for a winning team. I'm not saying he is a bad clubhouse guy, but at the same time he is in our clubhouse.

If the market is undervaluing him, and I think it is, then keep the guy and see if three months of his usual hitting changes some minds. Tejada is a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. Tell him if he can just act happy and competitive for three months, the trade will take care of itself.

I definately agree we need to clean house. I was just saying that I don't care if the players loves and respects the city. As long as he respects the team, Coach, and fans, is young, and good I want him to stay.

I really gets the idea that AM has thought everything through and is determined to move some pieces in order to build the future.

Outstanding.

My only concern is that AM is so intent on getting the most for Bedard, Roberts, and Tejada that he'll pass on deals where we won't get quite as much as he thinks we should.

I hear ya, but I don't think he does respect the team, just his paycheck.

The good thing here as far as Bedard goes is that both teams mentioned really are being aggresive and want him badly.

    • So since Westburg is apparently still ROY eligible, Cowser and Westburg may project to be the best rookie combination since Fred Lynn and Jim Rice in 1975?
    • There were several and I was one them. I'm  on record as saying I was one of his biggest Apologists . You should feel good about yourself as you were able to see that Means would be imploding before our very eyes( which was an opinion or a guess, which is what I did) as far as feeling bad for me? Dont I'm plenty good enough to know I wont be able to guess right every time
    • Fantastic pickup by Elias and big kudos to O’Hearn for taking advantage of the resources to improve. He’s a great story.
    • Given his injury history and what’s happening right now, Means may make more money as an Oriole next year than as a free agent. He may have to settle for league minimum as a FA but would do better than that in arbitration. Heck, unless he’s effective at least a little this year then the orioles might release him after the season to avoid paying more than league minimum. I hope Means recovers, very much so, but this scenario is possible imo.    ps. I guess I ignored the part where you said if Means thinks he is healthy.
    • What I'd like to see in the next game Holliday plays, is for him to keep his eyes following through on the ball when he swings. In the last game I saw, he was yanking his head off the zone when he swung and couldn't see the bat to the ball. He was missing wildly and it wasn't even competitive. So, keep your eye on the ball! Follow all the way through! If your swing is so violent that it's yanking your head off the sight of the ball, then adjust your mechanics because you can't hit what you can't see!
    • What a great example of pedantic! Please tell us you meant to do that. I honestly can’t tell these days.
