Agreed. We've had complete incompetence in LF this season (although Pearce looks alright) so it's worth a shot. What's the harm? We may lose Adams or Mahoney to clear a spot for him. Big deal.

Pearce's OPS was 996 prior to being called up. Not quite that in Baltimore, tough 720 isn't terrible.

Ford went 2 for 4 today with an RBI and a run scored.

He's now batting .383.

In the 3rd inning, we were trailing 2-0. With runners on first and second and 1 out, Ford's single produced our first run of the game. He later crossed the plate that same inning with the go-ahead run.

Who knows ??? Maybe he can win the AAA batting title if he gets enough plate appearances before the season is over. ANYTHING would be preferable than to putting him on the 40-man roster and EVEN CONSIDERING bringing him up to the Orioles.

I know! Lew Ford could do it in AAA. And then come up to the O's for 100 games, flail around miserably for three seasons and wind up back with the Twins.
