I hadn't realized that Cesar Izturis was on a major league roster this year (Brewers). Not only that, but he is playing a fair amount, with 91 PA, in which he is hitting .216/.242/.261. I'm amazed he actually found a gig this year, but I guess his defense is still pretty good.

Bump....Izzy was on the DL for a good bit of late May - mid June, but otherwise is still playing quite frequently. Now hitting .212/.228/.281 in 153 PA.

Saw a highlight on sports center last night when Axford (MIL closer) was in with a runner on 3rd and 2 outs (1 run lead), and a sharp ground ball was hit in the hole.

Izzy speared it and made a strong throw to first, quite possibly saving the game for the Brew Crew. My description probably doesn't do it justice, it was a play I did not expect him to make. Nice to see he can still contribute.
