Johan Santana No Hiiter through 8

What an amazing performance by Johan - after everything he's been through, to deliver the 1st no hitter IN METS HISTORY. I'm happy for him.

All those years watching the Mets on WOR-TV, and listening to Lindsey Nelson, Ralph Kiner, and Bob Murphy ......... and they finally get a no-hitter. .:clap3: :)

Interesting bit of info here:

The fan who ran on the field was wearing a Gary Carter jersey, the former mets hall of famer who died this year.

Gary Carter wore #8.

The mets tonight had 8 runs, 8 hits, and Johan Santana had 8 strikeouts.

kind of cool...

One of my best friends was at this game. He was up in NY for his wedding anniversary.

Just to be clear on two things:

1. He did yell "O!"

2. He wore his Orioles gear and his wife had on a "I'm too cute to be a Yankee fan" shirt on.

So our Birds were represented at the game last night!

My sister was at the game too. Her boyfriend lost his ticket stub so she gave him hers. Can't say I would have done the same.

This is the best stretch I can remember seeing a knuckleballer have. The lack of walks is amazing.
