A little local news on this pick. Howard went to Columbus HS, just about 1 mile from where I work, and apparently plays stellar defense.

The Orioles took Willie Harris from Kennesaw ST in the 24th round of the 1999 draft and he ended up the best position player they drafted that year outside of Brian Roberts.
