No way should it take Machado or Bundy to get Garza. He is a 3 on solid pitching rotation, maybe 2. For us probably a 2 or 3.

I agree...bundy or machado would be the centerpiece of a trade for Felix Hernandez, but not Garza...give me a break.

IMO, the Cubs getting rid of Soriano's contract would be reason enough to trade Garza. We should be able to deal them a mid-level prospect or two (do we even have any?) for Soriano and Garza.

Schoop, Matusz, Avery for Soriano (and his contract) and Garza. It would be a hail-mary pass, but could really save our season.

Soriano is awful and owed a ton of money. If we're eating that contract we shouldn't have to give up that much talent.

Aside from OBP, he's doing well at the plate this year. He's another HR bat. Garza's talent speaks for itself.

I think a 5th starter can be found at the deadline to replace Hunter, unless they go the Tillman route.
