Wieters has only 7 career PA in righty-righty matchups, and hasn't done dismally (tragically SSS, sure). I wonder if it's a better option for him to try to bolster his LHB in general, or just drop the switch-hitting bit and go all from the right side and see if he can hit RHP as well as he does LHP.

His curveball says hello. It's a hammer if he puts it anywhere near the strike zone.

Its also the pitch he has the lowest strikeout % on. He needs an OUT pitch, not a pitch he can throw for a strike early in the count.

I don't disagree, but really he needs to trust his stuff more in general and stop throwing so many damn pitches and nibbling.

That sure looks like an out pitch.

Of course, he throws a nice curveball and gets a SO. How about you watch him pitch. He gets ahead in so many counts, and can not put hitters away. 48 pitches through 2 innings, hes been ahead in most counts, he really doesn't have a quality out pitch.
