Are Presley and Adair Going To Be Replaced Before the All - Star Break?

I've been saying this forever, finally someone who understands me! Buck sucks.

We'd totally be 44-32 without him.

What are you talking about.? A good manager is worth at least 3 W more than a poor one like Buck. We'd be 45 W.

It's time the Orioles stop kidding themselves. Our hitting coach is not helping our hitters. So either do away with the position and save your money DD or replace him. You can't fire the lineup or replace it so the coach has to go. NOW!

Changing the hitting coach won't help Chris Davis catch up with a good fastball or keep Adam Jones from swinging at sliders in the dirt.

These guys are who they are. We didn't supplement this team with some OBP guys to hit around them, which would have been a great thing to do.

Where would we be without Nelson Cruz? 10 maybe 12 games out? When Crowley was hitting coach we ripped him day after day. When the games were taking place you would see him in the dugout usually near the steps that lead to the tunnel and you'd see him talking to the hitters. I don't see Presley in the dugout talking to the hitters trying to help them or giving them any suggestions. I hate dumping on someone but criticism is needed and I feel justified. Buck needs to make a decision soon. I'd like to see Brady Anderson in the dugout helping the hitters. They relate to him and I think they would listen to him. The team appears flat. Several of our key hitters are not helping us right now. They are swinging at pretty much anything coming near the plate. I said a week or so ago I think Davis and AJ are caught up in Cruz's success. Both are making more than Cruz and he is leaving them far behind in HR's and RBI'S. They are trying to hit HR's every time they bat.

We need Morales in this lineup and soon. Someone besides Cruz to drive in runs. How many games have we lost by 2 runs or less so far this season. Tonight a reliever named Fields with an almost 8 ERA throws two innings with 3 K's and looks like Rivera. Hardy's strikeout in the ninth was awful. Where was the pitch that struck him out? Correct ! Down and away and a ball outside that he lunged at because he's so far off the plate he can't reach the center of the plate with his swings. The catchers and pitchers see this. So he continues to flail away and gets a few singles and a double once in awhile. Still 0 HR'S and 13 RBI'S. Anemic! Buck and the hitting coach and maybe DD need to talk to JJ and try to help him.

Maybe I've just caught him at the right time, but I've seen AJ lay off those pitches several times recently. CD does look dreadful once again.

Yeah...you are right. Lately, he's been laying off them, but I think it comes with times where he's seeing the ball better. He's very streaky with pitch selection.

You can tell Adam is looking for that slide down and away because now he's getting fastballs down the middle and missing them.

    • Westburg shouldn’t be, where are you seeing that?
    • So since Westburg is apparently still ROY eligible, Cowser and Westburg may project to be the best rookie combination since Fred Lynn and Jim Rice in 1975?
    • There were several and I was one them. I'm  on record as saying I was one of his biggest Apologists . You should feel good about yourself as you were able to see that Means would be imploding before our very eyes( which was an opinion or a guess, which is what I did) as far as feeling bad for me? Dont I'm plenty good enough to know I wont be able to guess right every time
    • Fantastic pickup by Elias and big kudos to O’Hearn for taking advantage of the resources to improve. He’s a great story.
    • Given his injury history and what’s happening right now, Means may make more money as an Oriole next year than as a free agent. He may have to settle for league minimum as a FA but would do better than that in arbitration. Heck, unless he’s effective at least a little this year then the orioles might release him after the season to avoid paying more than league minimum. I hope Means recovers, very much so, but this scenario is possible imo.    ps. I guess I ignored the part where you said if Means thinks he is healthy.
    • What I'd like to see in the next game Holliday plays, is for him to keep his eyes following through on the ball when he swings. In the last game I saw, he was yanking his head off the zone when he swung and couldn't see the bat to the ball. He was missing wildly and it wasn't even competitive. So, keep your eye on the ball! Follow all the way through! If your swing is so violent that it's yanking your head off the sight of the ball, then adjust your mechanics because you can't hit what you can't see!
    • What a great example of pedantic! Please tell us you meant to do that. I honestly can’t tell these days.
