I think there are three questions that need to be answered before a decision is made on Hoes future:

1) Are they going to re-sign McLouth?

2) Are they going to extend Markakis this off season or trade him. I doubt the O's are picking up Nicks 2015 option for 17.5M. So next year is his walk year. I think the O's will trade him or sign him rather then let him walk.

3) What kind of a ML outfielder will Urrutia be?

I think all these questions impact what happens to Hoes.

What position has Valencia played this year? He would come up to hit.

I would be pretty upset if I were LJ, back to back years of raking and still gets passed over for Uruttia who hasn't even played half a season.

Gosh, I hope so. I just don't get the O's reluctance to give this kid a shot. I mean he's no Howie Clark or Rick Short. Hoes is 23 and has potential.

If it was up to me, I would replace Henry with Hoes immediately. A high wOBA and high P/PA is exactly the little extra nitro injection our offense could use right now.
