Houston will ultimately receive seven players from Toronto in the deal, including two Major League players, RHP Francisco Cordero and OF Ben Francisco, four minor league players, RHP Joe Musgrove, RHP Asher Wojciechowski, LHP David Rollins and C Carlos Perez, and a player to be named later. Two of the players the Astros received are former first-round draft picks. In exchange for the seven players, the Astros have sent RHP Brandon Lyon, LHP J.A. Happ and RHP David Carpenter to the Blue Jays.

Well if Joe Saunders would get crushed in the AL East, JA Happ will be absolutely destroyed. Interesting trade.

It's really hard to tell what the Blue Jays are doing. I see some young guys with potential shipped off for JA Happ (with some salary dumps of pending free agents). I know AA is well regarded, but I'm not sure yet.

Surprisingly Wandy Rodriguez was not part of a package to Toronto. It;s being reported tonight the Yankees are scouting him and may trade for him. Rodriguez started strong but has not pitched as well lately. Rodriguez started the season off well after he posted a 2.14 ERA in his first ten starts, going 4-4 in that span. However, in his last ten starts, he has compiled a 5.56 ERA and has gone from 4-4 to 7-8 on the year.
