Steve Pearce was DFA'd. I think that that was the corresponding move that allowed us to add Quintanilla.

Yes. They will have to find him a roster spot though. And Ankiel is available the same way this weekend. And Ankiel is an outfielder. Pearce is a First Baseman. The Orioles need to make a decision on McLouth. If Pearce passes waivers and is optioned, the Orioles can activate McLouth and bring Pearce back Sept. 1.

We really should take a look at the Braves organization. They know how to develop pitchers and improve them etc. Ben Sheets is now 2-0 with them. I wish our organization could do things with pitchers. Hopefully Bundy proves me wrong for once.
